Funerals
I think the most fitting and profound ceremony for the Great Highland Bagpipe or Uilleann pipes is the send off for a loved one. No instrument quite captures the raw emotion of the bagpipe.
For funerals, here are the most commonly requested tasks for me as a piper;
Playing as the coffin leaves home and as the funeral cortege sets off
Marching down the street as the hearse departs
Paging the hearse at it arrives at the ceremony
Playing as the coffin is carried to the ceremony
Playing a lament as the coffin is lowered or as ashes are scattered
I am more than happy to help accommodate any requests so please do just ask
